  Please do yourself a favour and DO NOT book a car with them. Horrible service. We where a couple of minutes late due to public transport and they mentioned our car has been given to someone else. Then they will try to rent us another car (that was 3 times the amount of the original booking) and then refused to let us have it when we said we were unhappy with the service. They were not able to point to the relevant terms and conditions. The manager was unhelpful and just smirked the entire time. They didn’t offer any other solutions and left us without a car for a wedding. They mentioned they had our reservation, but not our car. Not clearly what they where reserving. They mentioned this barely happened and that it is unlucky they posted our car a minute after we where late and someone else book it. Reading into other reviews this has been a very common situation for many people. For UK standards of client service this place is absolutely horrendous. Don’t make your trips more difficult and book directly in the car companies at the airport.

  First time user Fantastic experience seamless process customer service outstanding unliveable pricing cheapest by far, after discussing my proposed use I was given up an upgrade to a car that would better suit my needs at no extra cost ❤️ Green motion car hire would be my go to on returning to the UK for future holidays 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

  *** AVOID Green Motion Newcastle Airport at all costs *** They happily took full payment, allowed the booking to go through without a flight number, and even allowed all pre check-in administration to be completed — only to refuse to release the vehicle when we arrived because we were “not flying”. What makes this worse is that the policy wording itself clearly states flight details should be provided “when arriving by airplane”, which strongly indicates that a flight is not mandatory in all cases. If it genuinely was a strict requirement, the booking system should never have allowed the reservation to proceed without one. Instead, payment was taken in full and we were turned away at collection with zero accountability afterwards. We were then told the refund would take 3–5 working days, which also did not happen. Despite repeated efforts to resolve this and obtain the refund we were told we would receive, the company has continued to refuse to properly put this right. The result was wasted annual leave, disruption to our holiday, and a last-minute scramble for alternative transport over a bank holiday weekend. Completely unacceptable experience from start to finish. The entire situation feels misleading and badly managed, with absolutely no willingness to properly resolve the issue once payment had already been taken.

  Booked a car around a month in advance for my holiday. When I arrived to collect it on Sunday 3 May, I was told I couldn’t be given the vehicle because I didn’t have a flight number. This requirement was never made clear during the booking process, and I was already standing at the counter. I am a local resident, not arriving by flight, so this policy makes little sense in my situation. I was told a refund would be processed within 7 business days, but it still hasn’t come through. Repeated calls go straight to voicemail, and my complaint email outlining all of the above has gone unanswered for 3 business days. Overall, a very frustrating experience with poor communication and customer service.

  Car was very dirty outside although the staff member did clean all of the windows before we took delivery, covered in scrapes, trim falling off, car mats missing, slow puncture on front left tyre which appeared hours after we collected, conveniently had a tire inflator under the sub floor of the boot, clearly used previously. One tyre near legal limit. Clutch needs replacement as no bite left at all. Car hire in industrial estate 15 mins away from airport. Additional £90 for the insurance for a 3 day rental. Staff were very friendly on collection and return. Shame the car was such a mess.
